Welcome to the homepage of the International Peeling Society (IPS). The IPS was founded in 2012 by an international group of physicians dedicated to the field of chemical peels.
The society targets to teach and promote the methods and applications of chemical peels for both medical and esthetic purposes. Among the goals of the society are the development of clinical guidelines for better and safer use of peels, the setting of appropriate quality standards and the initiation and support of basic and clinical research in this field.

5 Continent Congress
At the 5 Continent Congress in Barcelona we did an IPS Chemical Peeling Session featuring amazing speakers about the latest news in the field of Chemical Peels on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 17.00 to 18.00h.
We presented the following Program:
- Chemical Peels in Melesma, S. Ghannam
- Do´s and Dont´s of a Chemical Peel on Darker Skin, R. Pillai
- The evidence Chemical Peels for Pigmentation, M. Sachdev
- Glycolic Acid Chemical Peel in the Treatment of Acne Vulgaris, E. Sanad
- Chemical Peel of ATA in Association with IPL, E. Franca
On the last day of the Congress Sahar Ghannam did a Teaching Course about different peeling options and the variety of different indications. About 12 attendees from Mexiko to Denmark learned everything about Chemical Peelings - Influencing Factors, Types, Side effect management etc.
Sahar Ghannam finished the Course with three different live treatments: Anti aging, Anti-spot & Anti-acne.
Hands-On Course Chemical Peels
At the end of April we had a fantastic Hands-On Course Chemical Peels in Munich under the direction of Dr. Luitgard Wiest and Prof. Peter Rullan. We had physicians, mainly dermatologists and plastic surgeons, from England, Iran, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Chemical Peeling sessions at the FACE Congress, London June 16-19th were held in collaboration with the International Peeling Society and attracted large audiences. The session including lectures and demonstrations by Dr. Uliana Gout, Dr. Tatjana Pavici alongside guest speakers Dr. Vladelena Averina and Dr. Mariya Sergeyeva.
